My name is Jonathan Dodds. I am a second year Digital
Photography Student at London South Bank University (LSBU). I
have been living and working in London for nearly two
years.
The majority of my photographic work focuses on documentary
style images, often with political themes. I have been an
active member of the Stop the War Coalition for over 6
years, and I am also president of the Stop the War
Society at LSBU. I am also involved in other aspects
of the student union, working as Picture Editor for
the student magazine, 'LDN'. In this role I oversee
all the images used in the magazine, as well as
commission work from other students based in the
University. I have also re-designed the entire
publication, introducing a new format and working
closely with other members of the student union.
My previous work experience was as Press Photographer for
the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, a role I held for
nearly two years. I was required to take images for the
student union website including images of the crowd and of
the bands and DJ's that performed. This allowed me to work
closely with performers, managers and agents, and required
me to meet tight deadlines.
